Designed by Moroccan-British artist Hassan Hajjaj in collaboration with Amine El Baroudi (the Tea Man), these miniature metal cans evolved from the artist’s distinctive use of found tins to frame his photography. Combining bold Pop Art aesthetics with traditional Moroccan motifs and graphics inspired by vintage packaging, each can is a colourful, collectible art object. Perfect for storing tea, spices and everyday treasures.

The HARIRA design celebrates Morocco’s traditional tomato-based soup, commonly served to break the fast during Ramadan and widely regarded as the country’s national soup.

•    Empty, reusable tin for storing loose-leaf tea, spices and small keepsakes

Hassan Hajjaj

Hassan Hajjaj is a Moroccan-British artist and designer whose practice spans photography, film, fashion and product design. Often compared to Andy Warhol for his bold use of colour, pop art aesthetics and popular culture, Hajjaj playfully references the artist through his label Andy Wahloo, a wordplay on Warhol that translates from Arabic as ‘I have nothing’.

His Jajjah Tea collection, named after his surname spelled backwards, brings this distinctive visual language to everyday rituals, pairing Moroccan-inspired tea blends with colourful, collectible tins featuring graphics drawn from vintage packaging.

Commissioned for The Mall exhibition at Powerhouse Parramatta, Hajjaj presents works from his celebrated My Rock Stars photographic series, captured locally in Western Sydney. The portraits feature his signature framing using colourful food tins, transforming everyday packaging into vibrant works of art.
