Hattie Molloy's Ixia vase first released as part of her signature range of vases is sand cast in aluminium and hand-poured in Victoria. Each vase includes a removable cast aluminium grate that shapes how flowers arrange inside it–a single stem stands upright with ease, suited to a bedside table, a kitchen shelf or the dining table. Molloy has worked as a florist for a decade, and designed Ixia from firsthand frustration with vases that make arranging difficult, when it should be simple, joyful and uncomplicated.

Hattie Molloy

Hattie Molloy is a Melbourne-based artist and object designer whose practice explores the relationship between the natural world and contemporary form. Working across photography, floristry and installation, she challenges conventional ways of seeing, inviting audiences to discover the extraordinary within the everyday.
Her collection of sand-cast aluminium vessels extends this philosophy into functional sculpture. Developed to heighten our appreciation of botanical forms, each vessel creates a dialogue between industrial materiality and organic subject matter, elevating floral arrangements through sculptural composition and material contrast.

Based in regional Daylesford, Molloy's life and practice are deeply intertwined. An avid gardener, she is often found searching nurseries for rare plants to cultivate, foraging for botanicals and exploring local markets for objects whose textures, forms and histories quietly inform her work.
