Scent Card: Perpetual Spring

The Raconteur perfumer Craig Andrade developed this fragrance in response to Perpetual Spring, the shopping centre's promise of an ideal environment kept outside natural cycles, climate controlled and lit to maintain one unchanging season. It opens with lemon and petitgrain, moves through lily and gardenia, and settles into sandalwood and amber, a floral heart that stays bright and light. Designed by Studio MIMU, the classic hanging car freshener is reimagined as a scent card and printed with a line drawn from the exhibition itself. Made in Australia, it can hang anywhere that could use a lift, from a car or wardrobe to a room. Perpetual Spring is one of three scents developed for The Mall exhibition, one of five inaugural exhibitions at Powerhouse Parramatta, exploring the shopping centre from its earliest arcades to today.
